Garden Faery is a one-person garden care business run by Taya in Arcata, California. This policy explains what information I collect when you book a visit, and how I use it. Questions? Email taya@gardenfaery.love.

What I collect

When you book a visit or contact me, I collect:

Your name
Your email address
Your phone number
The address where you want the visit
Any notes you share about your garden, pets, gate codes, or what you'd like help with

How I use it

I use your information only to run my garden care business:

To schedule, confirm, and remind you about your visits
To send SMS appointment confirmations and reminders to the phone number you provide
To send invoices and receipts
To reply to messages you send me

Who I share it with

I do not sell, rent, or share your information for marketing or advertising. I use a small set of service providers to operate the business, and your information may pass through them only as needed:

Twilio to deliver SMS appointment messages
Proton Mail to send and receive email
Oracle Cloud for the server that stores your bookings

Each of these providers has their own privacy practices. I do not share your information with anyone else.

SMS messages

If you provide a phone number when booking, you agree to receive SMS appointment confirmations, reschedule notices, and day-before reminders from Garden Faery. Message and data rates may apply. You can reply STOP at any time to opt out of all future SMS messages, or reply HELP for help. Your phone number and SMS opt-in status are never shared with third parties for marketing.

How long I keep it

I keep your booking records as long as you're an active client, plus a few years after for tax and accounting purposes. If you'd like me to delete your information, email me and I will.

Your choices

You can ask me at any time to:

Show you what I have on file about you
Correct anything that's wrong
Delete your records (subject to any tax-record requirements)
Stop sending you SMS messages (reply STOP, or email me)

Security

I take reasonable steps to keep your information safe, including encrypted connections and restricted access to the server where bookings are stored. No system is perfectly secure, but I treat your information with care.

Kids

Garden Faery is a service for adults. I don't knowingly collect information from anyone under 13.

Changes

If I change this policy, I'll update the date at the top. Material changes will be noted on the homepage.
